Fall Youth Baseball & Softball POD System

COVID-19 has forced us to think differently when it comes to our Youth Athletic Programs. Please review our Youth Baseball/Softball COVID-19 POD System Regulations before registering your child(ren) for this program. 

POD System Explanation: All participants will be placed in PODS of no more than 20 children and 5 coaches.  These participants will practice and have intra-squad scrimmage games ONLY with those participants in their POD.  PODS will NOT practice or scrimmage vs. other PODS. Each participants will only be allowed one (1) spectator to enter the MACC Baseball/Softball complex with them for each of the practice or scrimmage nights.  PODS will practice one day per week and scrimmage the other day per week.  Spectators and Coaches will be required to wear masks, social distance and follow all COVID-19 rules and regulations.  Please click the link above for more rules and regulations.  Please pay close attention to the equipment section of this document.

Baseball Ages: 6-14 Years Old (as of September 1, 2020) 
Softball Ages: 7-12 Years Old (as of September 1, 2020) 

Resident Fees: $15 (2nd Child - $10, 3rd Child - $5)
Non Resident Fees: $40 (2nd Child - $35, 3rd Child - $30)

Practices: One per week (All at the MACC Complex)
Scrimmages: One per week (All at the MACC Complex)

6U -  Must be 6 and cannot be 7 as of 9/1/2020
Program Nights: Monday & Wednesday
Time Limit: 1 Hour

Co-Rec Baseball (Boys and Girls)
Maximum 20 participants (1 POD)


8U -  Must be 7 and cannot be 9 as of 9/1/2020
Program Nights: Monday & Wednesday
Time Limit: 1 Hour

Girls - Softball - Maximum 40 Participants (2 PODS)
Boys - Baseball - Maximum 40 Participants (2 PODS)


10U - Must be 9 and cannot be 11 as of 9/1/2020
Program Nights: Tuesday & Thursday 
Time Limit: 1 Hour & 15 minutes
10U POD Schedule - TBA
 Boys - Baseball - Maximum 40 Participants (2 PODS)
 Girls - Softball - Maximum 40 Participants (2 PODS)

12U - Must be 11 and cannot be 13 as of 9/1/2020
Program Nights: Tuesday & Thursday
Time Limit: 1 Hour & 30 minutes
12U POD Schedule - TBA
Boys - Baseball - Maximum 40 Participants (2 PODS)
Girls - Softball - Maximum 40 Participants (2 PODS)

14U - Must be 13 and cannot be 15 as of 9/1/2020
Program Nights: Monday & Wednesday
Time Limit: 1 Hour & 30 minutes

City of Mebane Youth Protection Policy Coaches Code of Ethics
Parent Code of Ethics (see below) - must be agreed to at time of registration

     1. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches,               and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.

  1. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.
  1. I will insist that my child plays in a safe and healthy environment.
  1. I will require that my child's coach be trained in the responsibilities of being a youth sports coach and that the coach upholds the Coaches' Code of Ethics.
  1. I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
  1. I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all youth sports events.
  1. I will remember that the game is for youth - not for adults.
  1. I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child.
  1. I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respectful fan, assisting with coaching, or providing transportation.
  2. I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, gender, creed, or ability.

All Rules and Regulations, Game Nights, Locations, etc. are subject to change based on the fluidity of COVID-19 in our area.  

The City of Mebane will not be providing uniforms to PODS, coaches and parents may provide those to the participants at their own discretion.
