The Mebane Police Department is committed to improving the quality of life, in partnership with our community, through fair and professional police services.

About Our Police Department
The Mebane Police Department consists of 18 sworn positions. These positions include Administration, Patrol, Investigations, D.A.R.E. and Animal control. The Department operates its own communication system, which includes another three full-time and three part-time employees.

All calls are handled through our communication number, (919) 563-9031. Any 911 calls are relayed to our communications by C-Com.

Accident reports, as well as other reports, can be obtained at the Police Department from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Mebane Police Department is very pro-active in community policing. Officers are assigned districts throughout the city and are going door to door introducing themselves to the citizens and checking on citizens concerns. Any citizen wishing to form a Community Watch program in their neighborhood is asked to contact the Police Department.
