Mebane City Offices Update

City of Mebane Offices Open, Closed to Walk-In Services

Mebane City Hall and all municipal offices are suspending walk-in services for the indefinite future due to the COVD-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing to mitigate the virus’s spread. Employees are working from the office and home, and are available by e-mail and phone.

Utility bill and fee payments may be left at the City Hall dropbox. Permits, plans, and plats may be dropped off at the Planning and Inspections office lobby and applicants will be invoiced for all submittals. Staff will NOT directly interact with the public at the office.

Meetings will occur on regularly-scheduled days unless otherwise stated, but will be conducted remotely by web meeting or teleconference. Other meetings deemed necessary by staff may also be arranged. City Council meeting and public hearings are being considered on a case-by-case basis, with updates provided as available.

The Mebane the Arts and Community Center is closed to the public, though all municipal parks are open, playgrounds are closed and access to public restrooms is limited. The City strongly recommends keeping groups of people to under 10, maintaining 6 feet of distance from other individuals.
