April 6 Bioblitz at Cates Farm Park

April 6 Bioblitz at Cates Farm Park Kicks Off Alamance Creek Week!

Alamance Creek Week kicks off in Mebane with a Bioblitz at the new Cates Farm Park from 1 - 4 p.m. on April 6! We are inviting students of all ages to come out and help us inventory the native plants and animals that inhabit the new park along Mill Creek. Participants will learn to identify plans and animals, embark on guided nature walks, and participate in fun hands-on activities led by our community partners.

Registration is encouraged. Please contact Maya Revell with Stormwater SMART (336-904-0300, mrevell@ptrc.org) to register and get more information.

The City of Mebane is grateful to list as its community partners for this project Alamance Community College, Alamance County Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener program, Alley, Williams, Carmen, & King, Inc., Elon University, the Haw River Assembly, Stormwater SMART, Unique Place to Save, and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission.
