Railroad Study
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has now held two Public Meetings in regard to a railroad/road study that includes several public railroad crossings in Alamance and Orange. The purpose of the study is to ensure the safety of the motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, rail passengers, train crews and the surrounding communities. City Council will review this plan and its options for these rail crossings at their September 2017 meeting.
